Gabe is fun dog who has the best of both his
parents temperaments. I can see the impishness of his mother and the
comical clownishness of his father. At the shows in St. Louis, he had
the judge in laughter at his silliness. He laid down for a belly scratch
when she tried to go over him. He then was stacked perfect again when she
approached and before my friend Marianne knew what was happening, he was on the
floor again. He was Best In Sweepstakes at the CDCA National specialty and
Best Of Winners, too. He also passed his CDCA Herding Instinct test on the
same weekend. He was Best Male and then Best Of Breed at the 2005 ICDCA
National Specialty. He just needs one more win for his UKC Championship.
He finished his AKC championship by winning the major and then going Best Of
Breed over two champions at the shows in Oklahoma City in July, 2005. He
is the third champion for his dam which will gives her the CDCA ROM. He
finished 2005 as the AKC #7 dog having only been shown as a champion a handful
of times.
I took him out again in summer of 2009 to
finish his UKC CH as he only needed one more win for that title. He won
two of the four shows and had a great time meeting all the people and dogs.
He is such a sweetheart.
Gabe earned his last RA leg at the Mason City
Kennel Club show on Oct 10, even though I had worked 55 hours that week and
didn't have any time to train with him. This title earned him the CDCA VC!
