American Kennel Club Champion, United Kennel Club ChampionBless-ed Be Cherrysh Patriot
Patriot is a great dog that has been a wonderful addition to our family of dogs. He plays great with Gabe, Desi, Boaz and the girls. He loves to play with his toys, too. He even figured out how to play with three toys at once by putting two in his mouth and playing with the third toy with his paws. He has wonderful soft eye expression that melts your heart and as you can tell has certainly made his way into my heart. When I had him at match last fall, one of my friends commented that I should drop the 'Pat' in his name and call him "Riot" because he is such a hoot. In May 2006, he was Best Opposite Sex to Best In Sweepstakes at the CDCA National Specialty under English Breeder Judge Mrs. Jill Terry. In July, he was Second place in the 9-12 Month All Breed Sweepstakes Class at the Sioux Valley Kennel Club Show. This was my first time showing in an All Breed Sweepstakes and several of the people with dogs from different groups had not seen a Canaan Dog before so it was great to have them meet Patriot who loves everybody and everything. He has one win towards his UKC Grand Champion title. He is having a great time showing with his new friend, Kaitlyn, in Junior Showmanship.
