Canopy and Turtleback, Section II

The turtleback was fun to make.  I was able to borrow a jig which saved a large amount of time and fussing.  I made the front of the turtleback 1 inch higher (raised the flanges and the height of TB1) and left the back at the same place.

The window mounting was a job, but didn't take that long.  I still have the inside to trim out...

Tha canopy trimming was done using a rotozip metal cutting wheel mounted in a 10,000 rpm angle grinder.  Worked great, the center needed to be enlarged slightly to fit the arbor.

Here we are putting the rough blocks in place for the canopy deck.  I decided to do the canard cover at the same time, so that I could get the correct blend all the way from the nose to the turtleback.  A mess, but not to bad.  A lot of eyeballing and sighting to try get the two sides to look identical.
