Here is the first layup curing.  Four layers of UNI plus Peel Ply.

I started this while waiting for the big order of materials to arrive. Part of the plan is to always have something to work on when there is a little extra time after the main project is put to bed..

Here is the tube for the brake lines going in place.  It came off a roll and wanted to curl up again.  I found that stuffing it with brazing rods would straighten it to the right curvature.  Some messing around to get everything filled just right, but it looks good when it is done.

Here is where you start laying up the tabs on the landing gear.  Lots of plastic to keep the drips from gluing everything into one piece.

Measuring and floxing the strut bushings square.  Note the tiny nail bondoed to the front of the fuselage.  That is the center.  By definition.

You need to have some points of reference to try keep everything square.  Note the tube under the fuselage to support the tub high enough so the instrument panel is not loaded.
